Before our red-eye flight to Seoul, we manage to visit Singapore Airline Silver Kris lounge in terminal 3. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly staff at the grand entrance. The lounge area is divided into 3 sections. The Private room, First Class Lounge and Business Class. Star Alliance passengers travelling on Business and First Class are welcome to the Lounge too.
We entered the business class lounge and it was separated into a different area for dining, relaxing, working and reading. Despite the ample seats in the business lounge, we always end up in the dining area at the communal table. It gets really crowded at night.
Food & Drinks
There is a wide selection of warm food and snacks to choose from. Also, they have 2 live station that prepares hot food such as Laksa or Spaghetti. Menu depends on your luck! Some days, they even serve mee goreng and laksa! The buffet corner offers food such as dim sum, vegetarian options as well as a cheese platter. Despite the variety of food SilverKris Lounge offers, H & I prefer the food at The Green Market (TGM) lounge. Nonetheless, we love the drinks selection the lounge offers. From TWG tea to champagne, there are so many things to choose from. Also, they have pretty extensive hard liquors and spirits too!
Facilities
Like many lounges, Sliverkris Lounge offers Free wifi to all guest there. However, they have limited power port. Thus, one has to sit in the business area if you can’t find one in the main lounge. Shower facilities available in the toilet and does not have to book in advance. Other than the facilities, I like how the SilverKris lounge offers a wide range of magazine to choose.
Despite the dated furniture and design, there is no doubt that Singapore Airline is one of the top notched airlines in the world. The lounge is one of the better ones we have visited. Even though we always visit TGM lounge before heading over, I must say that the service and selection of drinks really good.
