Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae - Review Junior Suite, 1 King bed with Open-Air Bath Veranda

Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae is a newly open hotel located right next to Hongik University Station. With its strategic location, one can enjoy convenience. Traveling to/from the airport is easy with AREX just at your doorstep. Plus, there are many bus route at the station that goes to different part of Seoul. 

Since Myeong Dong is pretty quiet without tourists, we decided to stay in Hongdae this round. With Hongdae Free Market, Café, and Yeonnam-dong just minutes away from the hotel, the street is still vibrant and happening! 

Junior Suite, 1 King bed with Open-Air Bath Veranda 

The room was divided into 4 sections – a living area, open an air bath veranda, a bathroom, and a sleeping area. The room was cozy and very functional. Thankful that H booked this room as we wait for our PCR test result. With the covid restriction in place previously, we manage to enjoy our supper at our own comfort

The nicely furnished room was clean and had very comfortable bed liners. Our room was located on one of the highest floors and had a nice view overlooking the city from the balcony. The downside is that the room is pretty dark considering we had turned on all the lights. 

What we love most about the room is the microwave oven in the room. Traveling in small groups always has issues of over-ordering and having to take away the leftovers. We use it to reheat the food we bought from the market. Plus, it comes with a free mini bar which was great!

The bedroom and bathroom are separated by a sliding door. It has a comfortable bathroom room size and can even fit a bathtub! The room comes with complimentary toiletries too. 

Open an air bath veranda

Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the bath is in the open area when we booked  It was snowing while we were there hence we didn't manage to experience the open-air bath veranda. looks cold. Im sure it will be amazing during summertime!
