Day 1: Arrival at Danang International Airport and Transfer to Hoi An Old Town

Upon arriving at Danang International Airport in the late afternoon, we arranged a private car and Transfer from Danang International Airport to Hoi An. After breezing through immigration, our driver was waiting right outside the terminal, and the journey to Hoi An took about 50 minutes. The process was seamless and hassle-free!

After checking in at Hotel Royal Hoi An – MGallery, we took a short 15-minute stroll to Hoi An Ancient Town. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, designated in 1999, is renowned for its well-preserved streets, ancient houses, and historical landmarks.

As dusk falls, the town's lights transform the streets into a magical scene. You can take a boat ride or light a lantern along the river. There’s also a vibrant night market along the riverside, perfect for evening exploration.

Dinner at Cao lầu Không Gian Xanh

We dined at Cao lầu Không Gian Xanh, a local restaurant famous for its Cao lầu noodles. The dish was a highlight of the trip – full of rich flavors, and the portions were generous. The chewy noodles paired perfectly with braised pork, and we also enjoyed their delicious Bun Thit.

Day tour at Marble Mountain

We book a day tour to Marble Mountain, or Ngũ Hành Sơn. The moutain is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills just south of Danang, Vietnam, named after the five elements: metal, water, wood, fire, and earth. Known for its rich spiritual significance, the site features ancient pagodas, hidden caves, and temples with intricate stone carvings, attracting monks and pilgrims for centuries.

The guide came to pick us up to the mini van as well as the rest of the guest around 8am. We then embarked on a guided day tour to Marble Mountain. The tour was both engaging and informative. After the tour, they brought us to marble factory and had lunch at a local restaurant. Alternatively, one can also visit the marble mountain easily from Danang!

After the tour, we took a coffee break at Cam Coffee n More. The café’s décor was stunning, and the coffee was strong – enough to give us a serious caffeine rush! It was less crowded compare to the cafe in Old Town.

Later in the afternoon, we booked an 90 minutes  massage session at Ylang Ylang to unwind from the heat. They offer various type of massage and i opt for deep tissue massage! The massage was on point! Plus we were given private room for 2. At the end of the session, the spa even provided a driver to pick us up and drop us back at Hoi An Ancient Town afterward.

Dinner at Bale Well Restaurant

For dinner, we followed a friend’s recommendation to Bale Well Restaurant. The set meal was massive and featured rice paper, grilled pork skewers, crispy spring rolls, and pancakes. The friendly staff even taught us how to properly assemble and enjoy the meal.

Then, we ended our afternoon with a rejuvenating massage at Nguon Spa.

Seafood Dinner at Bé Ni 2

Dinner was at Bé Ni 2, a seafood restaurant where we could hand-pick our seafood. Prices were transparent, and though the 500g minimum order per type of seafood was a bit much for two people, the meal was worth it.
