Paradise Hotel Busan Review: Luxury Beachfront Stay with Family-Friendly Amenities

1. Introduction

If you are looking for a luxurious and family-friendly hotel in Busan, Paradise Hotel Busan is a fantastic choice. Located right on Haeundae Beach, this five-star hotel offers stunning ocean views, top-notch amenities, and fun facilities for both adults and children.

During our six-day winter trip, we decided to stay at Paradise Hotel Busan for one night to relax after our long flight. With its reputation for elegance, comfort, and excellent service, we were excited to experience what it had to offer.

2. Location & Accessibility

Paradise Hotel Busan is in an excellent location, offering unobstructed ocean views and easy access to some of Busan’s most popular attractions. The hotel is just a short walk from SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium, The Bay 101, and Dongbaekseom Island, making it ideal for visitors who want to explore the city while enjoying a beachfront getaway.

The lively Haeundae Market is also nearby, offering a variety of street food and fresh seafood. Traveling to the hotel from Gimhae International Airport takes about 50 minutes by taxi, with fares averaging ₩35,000. The nearest subway station, Haeundae Station (Line 2), is a 10-minute walk away, providing easy access to other parts of Busan.

3. First Impressions & Check-in Experience

Upon arrival, the hotel’s modern glass exterior and elegant entrance created a strong first impression. The lobby was spacious, well-lit, and beautifully designed, immediately setting the tone for a luxurious stay.

Unfortunately, we arrived too early and could not check in until 12 PM. Despite this, the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff, who spoke fluent English, provided us with a warm welcome and a detailed overview of the hotel’s amenities, including information about pool access, spa facilities, and dining options.

4. Room & Comfort

Paradise Hotel Busan has two buildings: the Main Building and the Annex Building, each offering a slightly different experience. The Main Building features modern, newly renovated rooms and is directly connected to key hotel facilities, making it the preferred choice for convenience and luxury. The Annex Building provides larger, quieter rooms, ideal for families or long-term stays. While the design is slightly older, rooms in the annex still offer stunning partial ocean or city views and full access to all hotel amenities at a lower price.

We originally booked a Deluxe Twin Room with a City View in the Main Building, but we were upgraded to a Deluxe Twin Room with a Sea View in the Annex Building. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the interior felt slightly dated compared to the Main Building. However, the private balcony with an uninterrupted view of Haeundae Beach made up for it. Watching the sunrise over the ocean was one of the highlights of our stay.

For those planning to stay at Paradise Hotel Busan, choosing an ocean-view room is highly recommended. It truly enhances the experience, making your stay feel even more special.

It is also important to note that hotels in Korea no longer provide complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste, so you will need to bring your own or purchase them from the hotel lobby or a nearby convenience store.

5. Hotel Facilities & Amenities

One of the main reasons we chose Paradise Hotel Busan was its family-friendly facilities, which make it an excellent choice for those traveling with children.

The hotel features an indoor Kids’ Village, a large and colorful play area filled with interactive activities, educational toys, and climbing structures designed for toddlers and young children. A unique highlight is the BMW Kids Driving Zone, where children can drive small BMW cars. However, there is an age and height restriction for this activity, so younger kids may not be eligible to participate. Since our child was still too young, we plan to return when they are old enough to enjoy it. More details on the Kids' Village can be found here.

In addition to the indoor play area, the hotel offers an outdoor PlayCation Zone, a well-maintained playground with slides and climbing structures, where children can play while parents relax nearby. For added convenience, the hotel provides kid-sized bathrobes, slippers, and baby cribs upon request, ensuring a comfortable stay for families.

For adults, the hotel offers a beautiful outdoor infinity pool with breathtaking ocean views. However, since we visited in winter, we were unable to use it. The hotel also has an on-site hot spring and sauna, which provide a relaxing way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The traditional Korean jjimjilbang setting, with both indoor and outdoor thermal baths, made it a perfect spot to warm up during the cold weather.

For fitness enthusiasts, the well-equipped gym features modern workout machines and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach, making workouts more enjoyable. The hotel also has a casino exclusively for foreign guests, adding a unique entertainment option for those interested.

6. Dining Experience

Paradise Hotel Busan offers a range of dining options, from casual buffets to fine dining restaurants. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have experienced, offering a huge selection of fresh pastries, traditional Korean dishes, and live cooking stations. The variety and quality of the food were impressive, making it well worth the price.

Since there were so many restaurants nearby, we did not try the hotel’s in-house restaurants for lunch or dinner. Instead, we had dinner at Heamakkin Ganjang Gejang, a popular seafood restaurant known for its soy-marinated raw crab. The meal was fantastic, and we highly recommend it for seafood lovers visiting Busan.

For those considering dining at the hotel, it is best to book a breakfast-inclusive rate for the best value.

7. Customer Service & Overall Experience

Throughout our stay, the service at Paradise Hotel Busan was exceptional. The staff was attentive, proactive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable experience. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a handwritten note and a small snack waiting in our room, which was a thoughtful touch that made our stay feel even more special.

The high level of service, combined with the hotel’s prime location, luxurious facilities, and family-friendly atmosphere, made it a standout experience.

8. Final Verdict & Rating

Paradise Hotel Busan offers a premium beachfront experience, with its stunning ocean views, spacious and well-appointed rooms, and top-tier amenities. The combination of family-friendly play areas, a heated infinity pool, hot springs, and excellent dining options makes it a great choice for travelers looking for both relaxation and entertainment. The outstanding service further elevates the experience, ensuring that guests feel well taken care of throughout their stay.

For families, this hotel is a top recommendation, thanks to its dedicated children's facilities and thoughtful family-friendly services. The only downside is that the pool and popular facilities can get crowded, especially during peak times. Next time, we would choose to stay for at least two nights to fully enjoy all that the hotel has to offer.

Paradise Hotel Busan is a perfect choice for families, couples, and anyone looking for a high-end beachside getaway in Busan. We look forward to returning in the future.
